Pick and Scroll, Everybody is nervous their first time.

Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10:28AM Your daily (Mon-Fri) roundup of links from around the blogosphere, typically Trail Blazers related.
- The Oregonian’s Mike Tokito has a recap of last night’s events featuring the argument that
- Gerald Wallace’s debut may have been underwhelming, but so was Marcus Camby’s and that worked out okay.
- As The O’s Joe Freeman reports, that team doctors cleared LaMarcus Aldridge’s tweaked knee and that Wallace was a bit nervous and didn’t want to step on any toes. Considering that Wallace didn’t even get to practice with the team before the game, it’s completely understandable that everything was just a bit off. The Blazers would likely have shot a much more respectable percentage from the field if those in-and-out shots would have stayed down, but instead the ball just seemed to roll right back out of the rim, goal tended by the invisible hand of fate.
- Mike Barrett says The Hawks are not that good, and the Trail Blazers are not that bad.
- In the BlazersEdge Media Row Report, Ben Golliver argues that the Blazers should be more careful with Brandon Roy’s minutes.
- At TrueHoop Network sister site Hoopinion, Bret LaGree calls last night’s Atlanta victory as the most impressive win of the season for the Hawks. Replacing Mike Bibby with Kirk Hinrich/Jeff Teague/anyone-not-named-Mike-Bibby has improved Atlanta’s defense considerably.
- Dwight Jaynes argues that Portland’s roster is too imbalanced.
- The Oregonian’s John Canzano advocates a balanced “wait and see” approach to the Blazers introducing a new starter-level player and reintegrating two mainstay starters.
- While he’s at it, Canzano empties his notebook with tidbits on Nate McMillan as a coach, Greg Oden losing weight, and more.
- At ESPN, Kevin Pelton says that LaMarcus Aldridge was the second best player in the NBA in February, barely edged out by Dwight Howard.
- Wayne Winston loves the Gerald Wallace trade.
ESPN Rankings:
- Stein: 12 (-3)
- Hollinger: 17
- Hollinger’s playoff odds calculator is not favoring the Blazers right now. Portland has the toughest remaining schedule in the league, and the computer isn’t factoring in the addition of Wallace or the re-introduction of Roy and Camby, so things may not be quite so bleak. However, Portland does not have much room for error.
- It’s Waiver Wire time baby! Who will Portland pick to fill the open roster spots? Leave your preference in the comments below.

Joel Pryzbilla "killa" of course. we need another big. thats plain and simple.
Can't. Pryzbilla is going to back up Kwame Brown. They aren't going to buy him out. Remember, the Bobbies shipped their only other seven-footer (Nazr Mohommad) to the Thunder before the deadline.
The Blazers could get him back in the offseason after his contract expires--he does have a house here, so there could be interest--but not until then.
Clearly an inside man, I agree with Dwight Jaynes in the argument that Portland’s roster is too imbalanced.
Its likely pryzbilla will be be bought out after requesting a buyout yesterday, so look for the thrilla to return soon, idk about the collins pickup but I guess armon and luke need some company on the bench. It would be nice to pickup bibby or ford to backup dre, bibby going to miami our la would not be good for us.
